I can still remember a time when I was just certain that our little boy was going to be serious in nature. It took him longer than the "norm" to smile, and thus I thought that perhaps that was just who he was. Being a first time mama, I only had the books to rely on and apparently not all children go "by the book." ;) He still tends to be very observant when we are out and about, Curious George-like, taking everything in around him. When we are at home though, his sweet sparkling personality explodes and continues to make me laugh time and time again. I just can't get enough of those chubby cheeks and his two-toothed grin.
