Well, perhaps I should re-title our blog to "Life in America." For now, we are still in the States waiting on a job opportunity to come up for John. The economy has hit the basketball world, pretty hard. It is only natural, since most of the teams' budgets actually come from sponsors, not ticket sales or player marketing.
So... here we sit. On one hand, we are thankful for the extra time to settle into our new home and spend more time with family, and get more connected with our church family. On the other hand, we are both itching to get back overseas. John is getting tired of working out by himself, and is excited to play with teammates again!
In the next few posts I will try to do some updates from the summer. I keep procrastinating updates because I want to save them for when I am completely bored overseas. I may not be across the ocean, but I think the time has come to attempt to get back into some routine.
I hope everyone is enjoying the fall! (I must admit, when I am sipping a Caramel Apple Cider or a Pumpkin Spice Latte... I quickly go from wishing I were overseas to being thankful for the opportunity to enjoy an extended time in the States!)
